2 Comments Malbec Wine Tasting11/07/2011 Considered the premier grape of Argentina, the Malbec grape actually originates from the Bordeaux region of France. Malbec wine is very popular due to its reasonable price point and pairing versatility. Most Malbec wines pair well with red meat, Mexican, Indian, Italian and Cajun dishes. For this tasting, we tasted three Malbec wines. The favorite of the group was wine #2, Bodega Tamari Reserva Malbec. My personal favorite was wine #1, Agua de Piedra Reserva Malbec, it paired well with monterrey pepper jack cheese. The group's least favorite was wine #3, La Finca Malbec, which also happened to be the least expensive.
